Hi, I am Josh RX Jiang. As a designer, I focus on concept design as well as visual connection between artworks with viewers. Nowadays, for the purpose of creating a clean and modern design, learning “un-design” is an important point of view to set the clear message to audiences which simply by removing any unnecessary elements. By the influence of Asian culture mixing with Western modernism, a proper balance was managed based on different aspects of critical thinking throughout years of learning.

 

When creating designs, starting with establishing which piece of information becomes the focal point of the piece is part of my design method. Without a core soul in each design, it is hard for audients to connect with the key message. In another word, a design must present the purposes and designer’s personality while speaks for itself to be considered successful. In my case, the intentions of using bold color with distinct typography, as well as the attention to details, add enough dimensions to the “magic trick.”

 

In order to make interesting designs, trying to keep thing simple and unique is a way to go. Through recent design projects, the concepts were built based upon interactions and emotions with nature and environment around us. The experiences on designing with modern technique provide each entity a unique perception while presenting clear data to viewers.
